
Therapy with me
It can feel very difficult to ask for help. You may wonder “what will we talk about?” You may also not know what it is you need help with.
I will also ask questions to find out about your background and life so far. If you’re not sure where to start, I will help you by asking some questions about what is happening, to find out more about you.
Once we settle into sessions, you set the agenda - we will talk about what is concerning you. Then we will go from there, as the picture builds and our relationship builds, the therapy unfolds.
You will then find that you have a space in which you can work through and make sense of those things that are troubling you. We will think about things, explore feelings and what is happening in the body. This enables us to be present with what is happening in the moment, and alive to what is most alive for you. The things that can’t be put into words can then be felt, experienced and included.

If you are interested in therapy with me, the first step is to contact me using the details in the contact page. I will endeavour to respond to your message within 24 hours.
If you would like an initial free 15-minute telephone conversation to discuss your requirements and assess whether I’m right for you prior to our first session, then please do request this.
Our first meeting will provide an opportunity for both of us to assess whether we would like to proceed. I will ask some background questions to inform our work. It is important I make sure I am able to offer what you need.
If you are happy to continue working together after the first meeting, then we will meet once per week, at the same time each week. I predominantly work longer term, will suggest an initial commitment of 6 sessions.
